for License Plates or Parking Permits for People With Severe Disabilities
New York residents to apply for plates or a parking permit for people with
severe disabilities. Requires a medical doctor's signature and
certification. Plates are issued at state and county DMV
offices, but permits are issued by local governments, not
DMV. Filing a false application is a crime. Includes the MV-664.3
Instructions. Must provide your Social Security number if applying in
New York City.
HANDICAPPED PARKING REGULATIONS
Handicap parking permits issued through the
Parking Services/Public Safety Office on a temporary (2-4 weeks)
basis until application can be made to state, county, town or
village of residence. In addition, all vehicles must have a valid
college (county Parking or Employee) permit displayed when parked in a
designation and location of these spaces are as follows:

which are signed for wheelchairs only.

lots A, B, J, K, G ,M Q, and in the Administrative Loop
2. Handicap cards must be displayed
as instructed on the windshield or on the sun visor and must be
clearly visible when parking in designated handicapped parking
spaces. Hangtags must be hung from rear view mirror.
3. Handicap parking spaces have been
redesigned to comply with Federal Regulations. If an area is full,
please go to another area. (DO NOT PARK IN VISITORS, EMPLOYEE, FIRE
LANES or the STRIPED AREAS between handicapped spaces.) Violators
will be towed at owner/operator's expense.
4. If your health problem improves and
you no longer need preferential parking, please let the Parking
Services Office know. Also be sure to keep your records updated at

If your vehicle is found parked in a handicapped parking space using an unauthorized handicap permit your vehicle will be ticketed and impounded.
