|SUNY Chancellor, Finger Lakes Area Campuses to Showcase Innovation (04/25/2012)
Rochester – State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher and SUNY campuses and organizations in the Finger Lakes on Thursday will host a showcase, putting on public display their strongest programs and finest innovations.
Featured campuses include: SUNY Brockport, Finger Lakes Community College, Empire State College, Genesee Community College, SUNY Geneseo, and Monroe Community College.
The event is OPEN PRESS and will be held as follows:
Date: Thursday, April 26, 2012
Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: The College at Brockport Metro Center, 55 St. Paul Street, Rochester, NY
At 12:30 p.m., SUNY Chancellor and area campus presidents will sign a Memorandum of Understanding for OWL (Online Western NY Learning Alliance), a consortium of community colleges that will make it easier for students to see what online courses are available and help them to better integrate those courses within their degree programs.
As SUNY enters the third year of its strategic plan, The Power of SUNY, Chancellor Zimpher has asked each of the 64 SUNY campuses to present a half-day of programming to the public that highlights their greatest ability to contribute innovative, best-in-class solutions that will help build a stronger economy and a better future for all New Yorkers.
